The tournament will be an PDGA A-tier event this year held over 3 days!! One round each day, tee times in intervals of 12 minutes
Spectators are welcome!
Scoring will be done through the PDGA online live scoring
We will have water stations and Pop-Ups out on the course. We will not be providing food this year. Please feel free to bring anything you like to make your own feast. The Trolley Barn will be open and ready to feed anyone that wants to eat before or after your round.
This event has partnered with the Paul McBeth Foundation to assist them in funding their course development initiatives. PMF focuses on developing and introducing sustainable disc golf experiences in underserved locations with limited or no access to the sport. Lost Valley Open 2023:
This is why the tournament is called the Lost Valley Open.
The area of Southeastern Pennsylvania where we have AGA Farms was once occupied by the Unami Indian tribe. It then was taken over by the Lenape Tribe. Obviously we know what happened next with the advancement of culture from Europe to the colonial United States.
In the 1960’s 250 families were forced to surrender their homes to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania under the right of eminent domain. The state bought 5,286 acres of what was known as the Tohickon Valley and surrounding Bucks County areas to build the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon and the surrounding Nockamixon State Park.
Most people think it’s a natural lake, but don’t realize that hundreds of families lost their homes to build it. The lake was made by damming three water sources in the Valley - the Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run and Haycock Run. It was part of a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plan for the Delaware River Basin to create a watershed and recreation area close to Philadelphia.
AGA is a Preserved farm on the edge of where the Valley was overtaken. The Farm has been a staple in the community supplying Pumpkins and Christmas Trees for years. It has been 6 years since we started designing and building the Disc Golf course at AGA. We are proud to be hosting the 6th annual event.
